Climate Change – an Irish perspective with Dr. Kieran Hickey. 8.00pm at Cabragh Wetlands Trust on Thursday 19th November

Dr. Kieran Hickey is currently lecturing in Physical Geography at U.C.C. His main research is on climate change on patterns of storminess and climate change in Ireland and elsewhere, coastal vulnerability to climate and sea-level rise in Ireland and elsewhere and the natural and cultural history of wolves in Ireland. He is widely published in many academic journals and books. He also contributes to radio programmes.
His most recent publication is a book on climate change and Ireland entitled ‘5 Minutes to Midnight? Ireland and Climate Change, White Row Press Belfast.
This should be a most interesting evening considering the unseasonable weather patterns we have had in recent years and also the upcoming Cimate change Summit in Paris.
All are welcome and the event is free. We also welcome any donations to continuing fundraising efforts.
