Cabragh Wetlands Trust is delighted to announce that it has recently
received a copy of a Habitat Management Plan for its lands. This is an
extremely important step by the Trust as it will be a major factor in
guiding to ensure that the property it owns is maintained at the
highest quality as a habitat for the birds, animals and plants which
it supports and that it can sequence the works needed in a
comprehensive way. The Trust wishes to thank Alan Lauder of Alan
Lauder Consulting for producing this critical document and for his
ongoing work with the wetlands. It also wishes to acknowledge the
financial support of the Local Authority Community Water Fund in
allowing it to commission this work. The Fund and the Community Water
Officer for the region Ruairi Ó Conchúir have been regular supporters
of the Trust for many years and their support and guidance is of
immense benefit to the Trust.
