At Cabrgah Wetlands, we believe that education is the key to understanding the vital role wetlands play in our ecosystem. We collaborate with organisations such as NPWS and LAWPRO, which generously support us with grants that enable us to offer a variety of educational courses and workshops throughout the year:

We are proud to be a registered provider of primary science education, dedicated to fostering a passion for the natural world among students. We understand the importance of hands-on learning, which is why we offer comprehensive field studies tailored for secondary schools. Our approach emphasises experiential learning through a wide range of engaging activities. Students can participate in exciting hands-on experiences such as pond dipping and kick sampling in the streams, providing them with the opportunity to observe aquatic ecosystems up close. We also utilise high-quality equipment, including microscopes and binoculars, to facilitate in-depth exploration and analysis of their surroundings.
In addition to these activities, we take pride in our extensive collection of taxidermy specimens, which serves as a valuable resource for tactile and visual learning. These specimens not only enhance students’ understanding of biodiversity but also spark curiosity and discussion about wildlife conservation and ecological balance.
