We are proud to own and manage 80 acres of natural wetlands, a vital ecosystem that is home to many species of plants, animals, and birds. We are dedicated to the conservation of these precious habitats, ensuring that future generations can enjoy and learn from the unique biodiversity of this area. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in everything we do, from our solar-powered building to our ongoing efforts to protect and restore the surrounding environment.

Our Visitor and Interpretive Centre features two modern, versatile rooms available for rental, perfect for a wide range of events. Each room is equipped with modern technology, including two projectors, a high-quality sound system, and reliable Wi-Fi, ensuring your event runs smoothly.

Cabragh Wetlands is a haven for nature lovers, offering two unique walking trails that allow visitors to explore the natural beauty of the wetlands and its surrounding ecosystems.

Please note that the nature trail is flooded for part of the year, so be sure to check the conditions before your visit for the best experience.

In the near future, we plan to expand our educational offerings with a self-guided exhibition that will allow visitors to engage with the history and ecology of the wetlands in a more interactive and immersive way. This evolving exhibit will provide deeper insights into the species that make Cabragh Wetlands their home.
Sustainability: A Solar-Powered Facility
At Cabragh Wetlands, we are committed to sustainability and renewable energy. Our centre operates has a ground-based solar power installation, making use of clean, renewable energy to reduce our environmental impact. We can show you the solar array and the battery system which stores some of the surplus energy generated on sunny days and talk to you about the impact on our energy bills.
